During November 2016 I fell in love with South America.

Then, on the 15th of December 2016, I fell again, but not in love, I fell 14 meters/5 stories to be exact from the happiest state Ive ever been and pinned dropped onto a cold marble floor in Peru, braking my back, sacrum, pelvis, feet and arm and fell into what was, what is and what will be the trickiest and most unexpected journey of my life.

I have wanted to begin this blog long ago but all my strength was being used fully toward my recovery, and to simply wake up and begin everyday differently. I’m on the mend now and although some days are still longer than the Amazon river itself, including all its rapids and bends…

I am illuminating as Ive pulled together the energies I needed and wanted to begin this blog to help others, as so many beautiful and reinvigorating people have helped me along this journey it feels necessary. If it helps them keep up with my progression, if it helps them to better grasp what a spinal injury is as i originally was so naive.
If it helps others through spinal injuries (there are a lot medical advancements tools and surgeries around today that have aided in my recovery, some i had to research but most cam from word of mouth), If it helps someone through times in hospital walls, through excruciating pain, through mental battles – to make a heaven out of a hell. Or just encourages people to go and make the absolute most of their lives.

Learn.

TRAVEL. Honestly, yeah i fell in South America, but it was the most amazing two months of..well..my life. Traveling Europe was also a Hoot.

Do things NOW because sometimes tomorrow reallllyyy doesn’t come in the form u expected..Trust me on that one ha.

Try look at what you DO have.

Stay around people who make you laugh,laugh everyday, laughter really is the best medicine and I ensure it’ll get you through.
If your un-happy, you can change it, if you want to, Im not saying Itll be easy but the mind is a powerful tool.

Really, above all, I want people to know, when it feeeeels you have little to appreciate,(There is so much to be happy for)
At least appreciate your health. Mental and physical. one of them. both. whichever way. Be over the moon that you have good health and look after YOself

I write from journal entries, accumulated this year, so I write right from the center, of me. Nice and rawwww, organic if u lioke.
I promise to keep the writing simple, and light hearted (although it hasnt always been that way) and include lots of pictures and videos, who the heck doesn’t love a good picture book, am i right? am i right?
