When Life Gives You Lemons, Turn Them Into A Yellow Tricycle

November 2015 I fell in love with South America. December 2015 I fell again, but not in love. I fell 15 metres/5 stories onto marble floor, feet first into the most life changing wild ride.

My Unexpeted Wild Ride

“The floor below evaporated.
Chunks of timber holding  the ground up pelted toward the marble ground 15 meters/5 stories below, taking me with them.  

My arms floundered around reaching out for anything that would hold me up, nothing, everything around me was going down too.

I see the marble surface below approaching rapidly, closer and closer, faster and faster.
I close my eyes.
I close them so tight.

Like a paucilin doll, down I went.

…
My feet hit first, shattering on impact, splintering and piercing my skin like broken glass! All my toes brake into pieces! My heel bone is pulverized (the calcaneus) upon hit, flattening from circle to oval, thats how hard I touch down. My metatarsals (the bones in my feet) crumple like fresh meringue.
A force then ricochets from my feet, up through my legs and into my lower back. My lumber3 vertebrae BURSTS from impact, my spine becomes unstable, my spinal cord which has a toothpaste tube texture becomes unprotected, the slightest movement of bone could now sever it, causing paralysis...My back brakes.
A roar of an undefinable pain explodes and rushes like hot lava through my screaming body. "WHHAATT IS THATT? What is that!!!! WTF IS THIS PAIN" How do I make it stop? Whats going on??..The pain possesses me.
My pelvis and sacrum (located below your tail bone, said to be unbreakable) still stand upright, the only body parts stopping the rest of me and my head hitting the ground... SMACKK! They, my pelvis and sacrum hit the marble too, fracture, cracking and rupturing in multiple places.
A ROAR of pain booms through me again! Yep I broke the ol sacrum.

In one last attempt to stay upright and not smash my head, something, I have no idea what, launches my right arm back, as a result my elbow pops and the knobbly bit moves away from its concreted position, like a golf ball, belted off the tee! Elbow fragments strike the insides of my arm, liquid begins too ooze and swell inside immediately.

My body cant handle the thundering pain and goes into shock. I fall unconscious! I must have been kissed by an angel as,

My upper body some how laid its self down more gently than the rest, the back of my head just kissed the marble floor.

Within only a matter of minutes after hitting the ground and falling unconscious, I flick my eyes open to see Nicks face. My vision is blurred, yet I know its him.
Though apparently laying flat, It felt like my legs were twisted up over my head. confused, dazed.
Suddenly Im TORCHED with a full body eruption of pain, a pain I never knew existed, nor would want anyone to experience or thought Id live through. It was'nt leaving! It was'nt diminishing, WHY? Do I scream? Will that help. Maybe that will decrease the pain? I scream...The pain remains. None of my screams are matching this pain!
I let out an un-worldly howl."

Stepping into a wheel chair, becoming an incomplete-paraplegic and pedalling everyday to get back to my feet, wow, how its changed me physically and mentally. Given a job i didn’t choose, becoming a patient of patience. I wanted to create this blog in a hope that it might help someone, give them a little sparkle, light, as so many reinvigorating people have helped me along the way and I’m grateful everyday for them, every single day.
